About Great Lakes Leadership & Mentoring
Steve Laatsch, PhD.

DSC_5275.jpeg

With 32 years of experience in education, from teaching 6th grade in Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville, Maryland, to serving as Superintendent of Saline Area Schools in Saline, Michigan, I have a deep understanding of how high-functioning school districts operate.

I advocate for distributive leadership, empowering individuals to achieve their goals. I believe every role within a school district is vital. For example, when Saline Area Schools faced a shortage of bus drivers, I obtained my CDL to serve as a substitute bus driver as needed.

Throughout my career, I have encountered various situations that equip me to address your educational needs, no matter how big or small.
